Hi Adam!
My name is Oskar Bakke, and I’ve dedicated the better part of my life to photography – especially around cars – not just as objects, but as timeless pieces of art and history. I grew up in Stockholm, Sweden, and moved to Los Angeles in 2019. What started as a simple hobby quickly turned into a full-fledged career, collaborating with some of the most iconic brands in the industry, including Porsche, Koenigsegg, Lamborghini and many more.
This page is tailored for you how I see we together capture this project. All work on this page is mine - it’s just a wild mix. Some might not be the perfect reference for this specific project but I what to show my experience and see if this trigger any creative wishes and ideas on your end.
What You Can Expect
A Story-Driven Visual Archive: Capturing every stage of the restoration process with care and artistry.
Gallery-Worthy Art Pieces: Images designed to live as large-scale art prints, appreciated even by those who aren’t automotive enthusiasts.
Technical Excellence: Industry-leading expertise in lighting, composition, and post-production to ensure every image reaches its full potential.
A Long-Term Creative Partner: My hope is that this is just the beginning of a creative collaboration, offering the same care and artistry for other vehicles in your collection.
My Approach
From the car’s current, untouched state – dust, dings, and imperfections included – to its full transformation, I’m excited about the opportunity to capture every phase of this journey. Whether it’s the finest details of its components or the powerful moment of the final reveal, my goal is to create iconic imagery that becomes part of the car’s legacy.
STAGE ONE
The Orgin
Capture the car in its current state. Think of the simplicity and elegance of vintage Range Rover ads – a minimalistic studio setup where it’s all about the car and the dirt/dust. The Agoura Hills warehouse could easily be transformed into a studio for this purpose.
STAGE TWO
The Craft
I’ve always dreamt of creating a flat lay of an entire car disassembled into its parts. As the car comes apart, we embrace the craftsmanship and capture these stylistic flat lays. The biggest challenge with this type of shot is staging and setup – I estimate a single shot could take a full day, but the result would be a truly one-of-a-kind visual piece.
The Legacy
STAGE THREE
To complete the story, I would love to recreate some of the initial shots from Stage One. Placing them side by side, you’ll clearly see the full transformation with a nod to the past..
My Vision
While my career has focused on large-scale commercial campaigns, I’ve been searching for a project of this caliber – one with depth, history, and the kind of soul that only a vehicle like the 300SL Alloy carries. My vision is to create work that doesn’t just live in a garage or on a hard drive, but can proudly hang on the walls of a home – art that transcends the automotive world and speaks to anyone who appreciates beauty, craftsmanship and legacy.
My background in retouching and lightning is what originally set me apart as a photographer, and it remains my strongest tool in creating images that feel cinematic, dramatic, and emotionally engaging. Today, it’s about far more than just pressing a button – it’s about telling a complete story.
Thank you!
I’m based here in Los Angeles and ready to fully commit to this project. I’d love the opportunity to discuss how we can make this as incredible and iconic as it deserves to be.
Thank you for considering me for this journey.
